Message from the principal - October 2026

Dear Parents and Students,

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always!

Since the start of the new academic year, seeing our children return to campus every day with bright, beaming smiles, witnessing their focused and inquisitive eyes in class, and hearing laughter echo throughout the school grounds has filled our entire faculty with immense joy and profound gratitude. Education is a journey where life impacts life. We remain steadfast in our original heart—nurturing our children with God's love—as we walk alongside every child to help them grow up healthy and happy here at Alliance Primary School, Whampoa.

1. Walking Together in Gratitude: "We Are One Team" A child's balanced and steady growth relies on tight collaboration and seamless partnership between home and school. Earlier, our school successfully hosted our first major parent event of the academic year—"Parents' Weekend." The turnout was overwhelming. Seeing the main hall packed to capacity, we immediately opened two additional classrooms to stream the live proceedings so that every attending parent could comfortably participate. I am deeply moved by your presence despite your busy schedules. Your deep care and commitment to your children's education fill our teaching team with pride and a heightened sense of responsibility.

We firmly believe that the bond among our school, parents, and children embodies the spirit of "We Are One Team"—working toward the shared goal of our children's healthy growth and holistic excellence. In this team, we trust, support, and walk alongside one another. This unity serves as our strongest foundation for educational excellence. On behalf of the school, I express my most heartfelt gratitude to every parent who attended!

2. Full-Day Schooling: Comprehensive Lunch Monitoring for Student Health As school routines settle into full gear, full-day classes have officially commenced, and our students have begun enjoying their lunches on campus. Because nutritional balance and food safety directly impact our children's physical development and learning vitality, the school continues to maintain the most rigorous standards regarding lunch arrangements.

This year, lunch services are provided by a new catering supplier. Beyond ensuring balanced core nutrition, they offer a wider variety of menu options along with diverse add-on choices like fruit cups and yogurt, ensuring our students eat both healthily and joyfully. To maintain exceptional quality, the school and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) have jointly established a "Daily Monitoring Team." Each day, PTA committee members or parent volunteers visit the campus to assist with on-site inspection and tasting. They strictly evaluate and record food quality, temperature, taste, and hygiene standards. Every step is documented with photos to ensure transparency and enable prompt follow-up by the school and PTA. Through this joint oversight, we aim to build a robust shield for our children's health and safety.

3. Broadening Educational Horizons and Advancing Innovation Technology The breadth of an educational vision shapes our children’s future. I am truly honored to have been invited in mid-September to join the "Hong Kong Education Sector National Day Beijing Visit and Professional Exchange Delegation (2026)," jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the CPG in the HKSAR, and the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government.

Led by Dr. Choi Yuk-lin, Secretary for Education, the delegation comprised approximately 130 representatives, including educators from tertiary institutions, professional bodies, and kindergarten, primary, and secondary school principals and teachers. Our journey took us to Inner Mongolia and Beijing, where we conducted on-site visits to schools across various levels as well as leading high-tech institutions. Through this enriching experience, I look forward to bringing back fresh perspectives on national development and valuable educational insights, integrating them into our future curriculum so that we can offer our children a truly forward-looking learning experience with a global outlook.

Furthermore, Dr. Sze Chun-fai, JP, Under Secretary for Education, recently led members of the Steering Committee on Strategic Development of Digital Education and the IT in Education Section to visit our school. They explored our achievements in Innovation and Technology (I&T) education and engaged in warm interactions with our I&T team teachers and students, giving high praise to our students' achievements.

Concluding Remarks: Walking Together in Abundant Grace "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man." (Proverbs 3:3–4)

In this new term, let us continue guiding our children to practice the "New Eight Essentials of Alliance Students," treating everyone and everything around them with love and gratitude. Thank you once again, dear parents, for your trust, understanding, and unwavering support. Because "We Are One Team," our school team will continue to lean on Heavenly Father, serving every child's physical, mental, and spiritual needs with selfless love and professional dedication—allowing every child at APSW to flourish and soar high in God's love!
