Message from the Principal - September 2020

  • Dear parents and children of APSW:

May the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus be with you always!

I am Mr. Lee Tak Hang, the school principal of APSW. By God's grace and guidance, I have returned to APSW, the place where my teaching career all began. I have served in the APSW family for 20 years. In the academic year of 2018, I have followed God's lead to leave APSW and worked as the principal at a Christian subsidised primary school in the Kwai Tsing District.

I am thankful to God for the opportunity to return and serve the APSW family this year. I hope to carry on my work in the education sector and create more fond memories with everyone in APSW. Over the years, I have gained a considerable amount of experience in the education field. For instance, I have represented Hong Kong to attend the international education forums. I have also joined various educational working groups where I could collaborate and work with school representatives and educators from different educational organisations in Hong Kong and around the world. We were all committed to contributing to the education industry and enriching the lives of children. These were also precious opportunities for me to serve God by serving others, promoting the development of Christian education and upholding the mission of "spreading the Gospel through education".

As a servant leader, I am committed to being a role model, leading and nurturing teachers who nurture children in return. Teaching children how important knowledge is, at the same time cultivating positivity and inculcate moral values, which is extremely critical in the process of growing up. Educating children about Jesus Christ and the truth of life, enabling them to find true happiness is essential. Although happiness is intangilbe, it can definitely still be felt by the heart.

I hope that the unusual academic school year of 2019/20 has enabled children to grow spiritually and overcome challenges that they may encounter in the future. I hope they will learn to share, be grateful,  and cherish what they have. May they be able to live an abundant and prosperous life.

At the beginning of the school year 2020/21, the pandemic struck, forcing us to accommodate to new modes of learning. It was certainly hard for all of us. Yet by relying on God and us working together, we are able to conquer any challenges and difficulties ahead. Moreover, our childrens' health, happiness and positivity is our utmost priority. Surely we will see "a rainbow at the end of the storm" soon. I look forward to meeting all of you on campus soon.

    Mr. Lee Tak Hang,
    School principal
