Message from the Principal – January 2026
Dear Parents and Students,
May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all!
As we transition from the old year to the new, I would like to represent all staff members in sending our blessings from the Lord to every family. In this new year, may we all sing a new song to praise the Lord for His wonderful deeds. "He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God." (Psalm 40:2-3)
I. New Year Message: Counting Blessings and Living Out Love and Service
Entering 2026, in the face of an unknown future and new challenges, I hope our children can adopt the attitude described by Paul in Philippians 3:13-14: "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal." Let us let go of past successes and failures and pursue excellence in both academics and character with a renewed spirit. We live in a changing world; growing and learning in health and safety is entirely by God's grace. The Bible teaches us to "give thanks in all circumstances." I encourage every child and parent to not only focus on personal development in the new year but also learn to count our blessings and cherish everything we have.
At the same time, let us turn this gratitude into concrete action. As Hebrews 13:16 reminds us: "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." Whether through participating in school service-learning activities or proactively caring for and helping those in need in the community, these heartfelt acts of kindness are sacrifices that please God. May we all become the salt and light of this generation in the coming year, impacting lives with our own, and filling the campus and society with the love of Christ. We are grateful for the Lord's grace that guided us safely through the past year, firmly establishing our steps on the rock of truth.
II. Focus of Attention: Service Optimization and Opinion Collection
The school is committed to providing safe, comfortable, and high-quality campus support services. To this end, we need to continuously collect and review the performance of various service providers to ensure the quality meets parents' expectations.
· Service Contract Expiry and Feedback Collection Please note that the current contracts for school bus services and school uniform supply will expire in July 2026. To prepare for the new round of tendering and ensure we find the most suitable and high-quality providers, we deeply need to hear your valuable opinions. The school has previously issued a parent circular regarding a survey to collect your views on existing school bus services (e.g., routes, safety, fees) and uniform supply (e.g., style, quality, price). Your feedback is crucial. We will:
o Consolidate Parent Opinions: Comprehensively analyze the collected data and suggestions.
o Reflect to Providers: Forward opinions to current providers as a reference for improvement.
o Formulate Tender Criteria: Incorporate relevant requirements and concerns into the evaluation criteria for new contracts to enhance future service quality.
· Review and Follow-up on Lunch Supplier This academic year, the school has partnered with a new lunch supplier. To ensure meals meet nutritional standards and student tastes, the school will gauge the opinions of parents and children through questionnaires and parent-volunteer tasting sessions. We will conduct in-depth follow-ups with the PTA Lunch Monitoring Group and the supplier, including regular tasting sessions and review meetings, to ensure children enjoy healthy and delicious lunches. We will also continuously review and evaluate the contract.
III. Legislative Update: Mandatory Reporting to Safeguard Children’s Wellbeing
· Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse Ordinance to Take Effect Please be advised that a vital law for child protection, the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse Ordinance, will officially take effect on January 20, 2026. This ordinance aims to establish a tighter protection web, requiring educators and relevant professionals to fulfill the duty of mandatory reporting when child abuse is discovered or suspected. All school staff will undergo professional training and strictly abide by the law to ensure all students learn and grow in a safe environment. This is our fundamental promise to every child.
· Home-School Cooperation: Sharing and Support The school firmly believes in the philosophy of "Home-School Cooperation, Growing Together." We understand that raising children is full of challenges; therefore, the school is happy to share your burdens and provide companionship and support. If you encounter any difficulties or confusion regarding discipline, emotional management, or other aspects of family education, please do not feel pressured or ashamed. You are welcome to share with our teachers or counselors at any time. We are ready to provide listening, counseling, and necessary referral services.
We also encourage parents to make good use of community resources. You may refer to the list of community resources and hotlines provided by the Education Bureau, which offers professional counseling services for families in need: Community Resources and Helpline Link
In the future, the school will continue to maintain close communication with all parents, working together for the healthy growth and all-round development of our children.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all!
