Message from the Principal – March 2026

Dear Parents and Students,

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)

This biblical verse has always been the motto of our school. In the rapidly changing 21st century, what is the "way" a child should go? Beyond noble character and a God-fearing heart, it includes the ability to adapt to technology and a scientific spirit to explore the truth. As spring blossoms in March and April, I would like to share the latest developments in our innovative teaching and campus infrastructure.

I. Embracing the AI Era: From Smart Learning to Personalized Instruction

Our school recently successfully applied for the Education Bureau’s AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching Funding Programme, receiving a specialized funding of HK$500,000. This grant provides a strong foundation for our Artificial Intelligence (AI) education, enhancing our teaching and learning effectiveness. Faced with the technological tide, we are adopting a professional strategy of "step-by-step progress with small-scale pilots."

In fact, our exploration of AI began years ago. Through various pilot schemes, we guided senior students to use AI platforms for problem-solving. They even created stunning sci-fi paintings and stories using AI, showcasing their interdisciplinary imagination. Recently, this technology has been further integrated into our core subjects. In senior Chinese and English classes, teachers have begun using AI platforms to assist in marking compositions. This is not to save labor, but to leverage AI’s data analysis to instantly identify grammatical gaps, vocabulary diversity, and structural strengths. This data allows teachers to truly "teach according to the student's ability," providing personalized guidance and making learning more efficient.

How can parents accompany their children in the AI era? While AI brings both curiosity and concern, please remember: AI is a tool; the human "heart" and "critical thinking" are the core. To prepare your children for the future, I suggest:

·         Encourage Questioning: AI provides answers, but only good questions lead to valuable AI output.

·         Strengthen Ethics: Guide children to be honest when using technology and to distinguish between true and false information.

·         Cherish the Warmth of Creation: Engage in emotional exchange and artistic creation with your children—things a machine can never replace.

II. Gratitude and Legacy: Completion of the New Science Lab

The conversion of the former General Studies room on the first floor into a "Science Laboratory" is in its final stages! It is expected to open by the end of March. Our children will soon explore the mysteries of the universe and the rigor of science in a professional setting. The birth of this lab is a testimony to God’s grace.

On behalf of the school, I would like to thank all parents and students for your enthusiastic support during our fundraising activities. Every donation represents your love for the school and provided the foundation for this project. We give all the glory to our Heavenly Father for His miraculous provision, specifically through a generous donation from a single family that bridged our funding gap. This lab is not just a place for science; it is a base for "Gratitude Education." I hope that when students conduct experiments, they realize that every instrument and workbench carries the love of their parents and God.

Conclusion: Growing Together in Love

As the second semester begins, it is the perfect time to review the past and plan for the future. To better understand the needs of our families, we will soon collect your feedback through the EDB’s "Electronic Platform for School Development and Accountability Data" and our school-based questionnaires. We believe your participation creates a synergy with school governance to protect our children’s growth. We sincerely invite you to take the time to share your views.
