Message from the principal - September 2025

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

As we step into September, we embrace a new school year filled with hope and blessings. On behalf of all the staff at Alliance Primary School, Whampoa. I extend our warmest welcome to each and every one of you! We offer a special and sincere greeting to the parents and students of our new Primary One class and those who have joined us as transfer students. We are delighted to have you as part of our Alliance Primary School, Whampoa family.

A New Chapter: Our Vision and Approach

A new school year brings with it a fresh start. Over the summer break, our dedicated teachers have been meticulously preparing the curriculum and activities for all subjects and levels. We have also renovated and beautified various areas of our campus to provide a more comfortable and inspiring environment for your children. We believe all of this is a testament to God's grace and blessings. A nurturing learning environment is crucial for sparking a child's curiosity and encouraging them to engage in their studies.

This year, our educational vision is "Making Every Child Feel Seen." We firmly believe that every child is a unique creation of God, endowed with their own potential and talents. As the Bible teaches us to care for the "least of these brothers and sisters," we are committed to cultivating positive values and attitudes in our students. We will also provide diverse platforms and opportunities for every child to showcase their unique character strengths, whether in academic achievements, artistic talents, sports, or other areas. We are unstinting in our praise and encourage students to support one another. When children feel seen and affirmed, they gain the confidence to explore and learn. This self-assurance will become an invaluable asset for their entire lives.

In line with this, we are also championing the "4 Loves" spirit, a principle that will permeate our learning and campus life. This commitment to character education aims to nurture our children into compassionate, responsible, wise, and vibrant citizens of the future. The "4 Loves" are:

  • Love God: We guide our children to understand that the goodness of life originates from God's creation. They will learn to be grateful and humble, and to live abundant lives by following the example of Jesus Christ's love.
  • Love Others: We encourage our students to care for others, embodying the spirit of Christ's self-sacrifice. They will learn to share, cooperate, serve, and respect differences, building a community of mutual help and love.
  • Love Learning: We aim to ignite a thirst for knowledge in our children, helping them see learning as a journey of exploring God's wondrous creation. This will foster a lifelong love of learning, turning their education into a joyful quest.
  • Love Life: We guide our students to cherish their lives as a precious gift from God. They will learn to maintain physical and mental well-being and appreciate every beautiful moment life has to offer.

Home-School Partnership and New Campus Developments

Over the summer, our campus has undergone a series of enhancements to meet our evolving educational needs. Our school now has a refreshed look, ready to welcome your children back. We have also planned various new initiatives to strengthen our home-school partnership and further the development of our school. To provide you with more detailed information, we cordially invite you to attend our first Parents' Meeting of the school year—the Parents' Weekend—on the morning of Saturday, September 13. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet with your children's class teachers and our teaching team. We will share the key developments for the school year, and we will also hold our first "Parents' Academy" session. Please refer to the upcoming school notice for more details on the Parents' Weekend.

Our theme for this school year is based on the biblical verse from Ephesians 5:15-16: "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil." This scripture reminds us that in a complex world, we need to imitate Christ, using wisdom to discern right from wrong and cherishing the precious time God has given us. This aligns perfectly with this year's focus on values and attitudes. Through the combined efforts of our school and our parents, we hope our children will grow into a wise, loving, and responsible generation—one that not only knows how to protect themselves but also positively impacts society with the love of Christ.

Our Shared Journey

I firmly believe that the home-school partnership is the strongest support system for a child's growth. The school and parents are close partners, and we are committed to walking alongside you, facing challenges together and accompanying your children on their journey. We sincerely hope that every child will have a happy and meaningful six-year learning experience at Alliance Primary School, Whampoa. Our team is united and looks to our Heavenly Father for guidance, ensuring our children learn to follow Christ's example and face any challenge with a positive and proactive attitude. I look forward to meeting you at various school events and witnessing your children's growth and progress together.

I wish you all good health in body, mind, and spirit. May you be filled with patience and love this new school year as you help your children spread their wings and enjoy every precious moment!
